Terms of Service

By using Hello Movers you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. About the Platform

Hello Movers is a marketplace connecting customers who need moving or delivery services with independent service providers ("Movers"). We are not a moving company. Movers are independent contractors, not employees of Hello Movers.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older to use Hello Movers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section of the app.

3. For Customers

• You may post moving jobs and receive quotes from verified Movers
• Payment is required at the time of accepting a quote
• Funds are held securely until you confirm the job is complete
• Cancellations after a Mover is confirmed may result in a cancellation fee

4. For Service Providers (Movers)

• You must complete identity and credential verification to receive jobs
• You are responsible for having valid insurance and all required licences
• Hello Movers retains a 15% platform fee from each completed job
• Payouts are processed through Stripe within 2 business days

5. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. Hello Movers does not store payment card information. Funds for accepted jobs are held until the customer confirms completion, at which point they are released to the Mover.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Misrepresenting your identity or credentials
• Accepting payment outside the platform
• Harassment or discrimination of any kind
• Creating fake reviews or ratings

7. Limitation of Liability

Hello Movers is a marketplace platform. We are not liable for property damage, personal injury, or disputes arising from services provided by independent Movers. We strongly recommend customers verify Mover credentials before hiring.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
