Hello Movers ("we", "us", "our") operates the Hello Movers mobile application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, phone number
- Profile information: address, profile photo
- For service providers: government ID, driver's licence, insurance documents, criminal record check, vehicle information and photos
- Location data: pickup and drop-off addresses you enter
- Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details
- Usage data: how you use the app, device type, operating system
How We Use Your Information
- To provide moving and delivery services
- To verify provider identity and credentials
- To process payments through Stripe
- To communicate job updates and notifications
- To improve the app and prevent fraud
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe: for payment processing and identity verification
- Supabase: our secure database and storage provider
- Other users: only the information needed to complete a job (e.g. your name and address to your confirmed mover)
Document Storage
Provider documents (ID, insurance, etc.) are stored securely with access restricted to the individual provider and platform administrators. Documents are encrypted at rest.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@hellomovers.ca. You may also delete your account directly within the Hello Movers app at any time.
Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.
